Catalyst Church in Kent is closing
Catalyst
has come under severe economic and emotional stress the past two months
and is not able to continue. The Western Reserve Grace Church in
Macedonia, the sponsoring church for Catalyst, is stepping in with a
plan that will hopefully result in a re-launch of this effort to reach
lost people in the Stow-Kent area. For more information, CLICK HERE.
Dog Day in German Village
Today
(May 16) was yet another successful day giving away free hot dogs and
doggie treats to people at Schiller Park in the downtown neighborhood
of German Village. Today was German Village's annual yard sale day
called "Trash and Treasure." So hundreds of people were out shopping
and our team got to meet many of the residents!
Thanks so much to the East Side Grace youth group for distributing over 1,500 door hangers! We can't thank you enough! We gave away nearly 150 dog treats and 200 hot dogs. What's better is that we got to meet and talk with so many people and tell them Capital City Grace is here!
Thanks to all of you for praying for this day! Your prayers were answered! There was an 80% chance of rain for today and none of it came! We had beautiful day! Praise God!

Capital City Grace Church
Coach Certification Completed
Tony Webb, and Chery & Ron Boehm completed the Coach Certification program created and led by Dr. Robert Logan of CoachNet.
This training started last September with a day-and-a-half seminar by
Dr. Logan, followed by six months of on-the-job training with the help
of a professional mentor-coach. Each coach-in-training completed an
online coach assessment and was required to attain a passing score. The
text for the course was Coaching 101
and each student was given a workbook at each of the two training
sessions to use as a guide. In May Dr. Logan flew to Ohio to again lead
a final day-and-a-half workshop, afterwhich we were officially
certified upon recommendation of the mentot-coach. If you are
interested in being trained as a coach for church leaders, contact Tony Webb or Ron Boehm; there is a second round of training beginning late summer.
